Professionally for about two decades, my work began in 2000 working for a surfing magazine, followed by earning my Bachelors in Journalism, then working for two world-renowned photographers, a few years of editorial and commercial photography, and building a wedding photography business. Now, I devote my skills to my passion for helping grow small businesses, photographing stylish portraits, food and travel.

Yes, my work has allowed me to see numerous destinations through my lens such as the Caribbean, Pacific Northwest, Europe, Colorado Mountains and the South. The energy of discovering a new place is electrifying and exciting but I also come prepared with backup supplies, prep for weather events, scout locations and do any initial research to perform my best work.

Please inquire for additional travel fees for locations outside of Ventura and Santa Barbara Counties.

Every photo session is unique. On average you will receive approximately 15-30 images per hour of photography coverage. The images delivered all depend on several factors such as if multiple locations are required, outfit changes necessary, time spent styling product shots and other factors. We carefully go through all the images taken and remove all the photos that have awkward moments (blinking eyes) test shots and repetitive images.

We have a special price for clients subscribing to a monthly membership. This service is great for local clients that need updated content on a regular basis.

On average a one hour photo session will take 3-5 business days to edit and deliver. Longer sessions will take up two weeks.

Yes, we can help you with scouting locations, props, searching/hiring models and other services such as helping with styling.

I  believe in forming a good working relationship with you and/or your products or team members, this could start from a discovery phone call, Zoom meeting, or meeting in person for wine or tea.

Storytelling is the currency of the Willhouse style. We create visual photo stories for our clients so that they can have powerful images to tell their story to the world (or whoever their target audience might be).

Our style is natural and genuine including a blend of photojournalism, lifestyle, editorial, and documentary-style photography.

With years of experience photographing professional models and non-professional models, we have the ability to make you feel comfortable, relaxed and help guide you with posing. In addition, we stylize photos for food, product, and merchandise.

We focus on natural light but when needed use lighting equipment such as light modifiers and reflectors.

My first wedding was in the early 2000s and I absolutely LOVED photographing weddings, many former wedding clients are now dear friends. However, as of January 2023, my focus is on photographing lifestyle, food, travel stories and content creation for businesses. However, if you are looking for a non-traditional approach to your wedding day, please contact me to share your love story and wedding plans.

Great question! First and foremost clothing that makes you feel the most confident. Things to avoid: Fast trends. Aim for clothing that has a timeless quality but also feels current. Tiny prints and lines can create a vibrating effect in an image. Be sure to think of all the details. Your shoes. Your fingernails (trim, moisturize, keep it natural or add a pop of color if that is your style). If you’re still unsure, shoot me a message and I’d be happy to discuss your options with you!
